ALBANY – Albert E. Roeder passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Albert was born in Hudson and was the son of the late Albert H. and Amy (Brencel) Roeder. He was a proud Army Veteran having served during WWII. He was a fifth grade teacher for New Lebanon Central Schools, retiring after many years. He enjoyed curling at the Albany Curling Club, golfing and was an avid reader. He was a lifetime member of the Rensselaer Elks where he was a past treasurer.
Albert is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Lynn; his loving daughters, Deb (Eric) Eiche of Apalachin, NY and Sarah (Gregory) Maida of Colonie; his cherished grandchildren, Amy and Erica Eiche and Sophia and Anthony Maida; his cousin and friend Robert (Ellen) Brencel and his beloved K-9 companion, Penny. He was predeceased by his brother, Arthur.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
