GUILDERLAND, NY – Albert G. Molis of Guilderland, passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 14, 2008. Born in Amsterdam, he was the son of the late Albert and Anna Molis. Al was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a Military Policeman during the Viet Nam War. He was employed with the U.S. Postal service, retiring after 46 years of service. Mr. Molis was a member of the Guilderland Elks Lodge 2480, American Legion Post #1493 and the Bethlehem Sportsman Club. He was a communicant of Christ the King Church. Al enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the Helderberg and Adirondack mountains. He was the beloved husband of the late Jerianne Molis who predeceased him in 2006. He is the devoted father of Matthew A. Molis of Guilderland. Al is the cherished grandfather of Tyler Molis. He is the loving twin brother of Anne C. Anderson. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday morning at 10:00 at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumpter Ave., Guilderland. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in memory of Albert G. Molis.
