RENSSELAER – Albert "Plum" Leigh, 60, passed away on Thursday, April 03, 2014. He was born June 6, 1953 in Albany the son of the late Fred and Annie Mae Leigh.

Albert graduated from Albany High School in 1971. A great athlete, he played football and loved basketball. Albert was veteran of the United States Air Force, serving at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and Plattsburgh Air Force Base in New York.

Survivors include his daughter Tenika Leigh of Albany; sister Dorothy Jean Leigh of Redmond, WA; brothers Anthony OF St. Cloud, FL, Raymond and twin brother Alfred of Albany; grandchildren Ashanti, Legend, Naeem and a host of nieces nephews and other relatives.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by Thelma Willingham, Fred Leigh, Jr., and Charles Leigh Sr., who played on the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins, and Kenneth Leigh.

A special thank you goes to his longtime friend Ron Griffin, Albany Community Hospice and Rosewood Nursing Home.

Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
