Ballston Spa- Albert H. Taft Jr., 86, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Al was born in Whitehall, NY to the late Albert and Lillian Taft on July 30, 1932. Al, or "Big Al" worked for many sign companies over his career as a neon tube bender. He will be remembered for his love of camping at Sacandaga Lake and fishing with all his friends. His passion in life was his family.
He is predeceased by his brother, Clifford and William Taft.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Taft, his children, Cathie (Jerry) Benson, Patrick (Janet) Taft, his sisters, Lillian Whelband, and Mary McGranor, his stepson, Ernest (Sherri) Porter, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 1:00pm-3:00pm with a service to immediately follow.
