Albina Zassowski

March 7, 1921 — March 2, 2013

LATHAM – Albina Zassowski, 92, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 after a short illness at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Elizabeth, NJ she was the daughter of the late John and Balbina Przybylowicz. Albina's parents left for Poland when she was a baby and she returned to the United States in 1978. She resided in Watervliet and worked at the Holiday Inn in Menands. After her retirement, she moved to Latham.


Albina is the beloved mother of Stan Zassowski of Latham. She is the grandmother of Lisa of Niskayuna and Robert of East Greenbush. Also surviving is her great-grandson, Jeremy Zassowski and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Albina was predeceased by her husband, Kazimierz Zassowski, her sisters, Mary Kozak and Anna Raibick and her brothers, John and Stanislaw Przybylowicz.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
