Alexander P. Cole

Colonie- Alexander Cole "Al" Jr. passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on January 24, 2022 with his family by his side.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alexander Sr and Mary Cole and his first wife Kathryn "Kay" Cole.

He is survived by his Wife, Judie. Children; Kathy (John) Hamilton, Maureen, Bill (Lisa), Michael (Debbie), Jim (Debbie), Matt (Suzanne), Kevin (Kelly), Mary (Greg) Franklin, Dan Cole and bonus daughter Jean D'Angelo. He was Pop to Michael (Micayla), Ashley, Erin, Alexandra, Kate, Jeffrey, Maura, Bridget, Sam, Tyler, Sean, Jimmy, Julia, Ryan, Joseph, Harper and Kathryn. Brother, Joseph Cole. He is also survived by his stepchildren Liz and Matt Schultz, and Chris and Jen Mayer. He was Papa Al to Lucy and Ava Schultz and Sullivan and Brendan Mayer.

He was a bridge engineer for NYS Department of Transportation for 38 years until his retirement. He then was an instructor for Michael Baker Corporation teaching multiple bridge related courses across the country. He was an active member of multiple professional societies, including being past president of the Highway Engineer Exchange Program (HEEP) and American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (ASHTO). He loved Cape Cod and camping at Alpine Lake.
