Alexander J. Green, "Big Al", of Colonie, NY, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Albany, New York on August 7, 1943. He was the son of the late Howard and Eva Green.

Mr. Green attended Cardinal McCloskey High School where he earned his nick name as "Big Al" for his athletic ability in basketball. He then served in the U.S. Army Infantry Branch during the Vietnam War. Then he retired as an Office Manager for a local construction fastening system company for which he was an expert in his field. He was a lifetime member of the Joseph E. Zaloga Post #1520 and Polish American Citizen Club as well as a social member of the West Albany Volunteer Fire Department Station #2 (NYRA).

Al loved to spend time with his family, especially the time he spent with his grandchildren. He was a huge sports fan and loved the Yankees and cherished his Raiders. Al enjoyed attending and coaching his children's sporting events. He looked forward to his breakfast outings with the Three Amigo's (Al, Gino and Jerry). He cherished the time he spent with his life long best friend Cliff King. Al loved to banter and captivated those around him with lively stories, opinions and jokes. Al truly cared about others, always interested and eager to hear and share the latest family news. His impact on the lives of others will endure long past his years.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Howard Green, William Green and Robert Green and sister Maryanne Krulcik.
