ALBANY – Alfred Edward Harris, 65, of Albany departed this life on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital.
Alfred was born on April 1, 1945 in Albany and was the son of the late Theodore and Emma (Jacobs) Harris and was the grandson of the late Alfred and Lottie Skyles. He worked in maintenance for the NYS Department of the Office of General Services for over 31 years before his retirement.
Alfred leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 24 years, Rosemarilyn Y. (Turnage) Harris of Albany; a son, John Edward Harris of Schenectady; a sister Arnita Branch of Schenectady; a brother, Troy Harris of Brooklyn and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the New Jerusalem Home of the Saved Church, 160 Sheridan Ave., Albany. A calling hour will precede the service from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery.
