Alice A. Kane

LATHAM – Alice A. Kane, 79, of Latham, passed away on Wednesday December 5, 2007 at the Inn of Community Hospice at St. Peters Hospital.
She was born in Clarksville and was the daughter of the late Augustus and Alice Lufton. Alice was employed at Siena College for several years where she shared in many cherished friendships with both staff and students. She enjoyed the beach, gardening and her animals. Alice was a very kind and caring woman that loved to spend time with her loving family.
She is the beloved mother of George W. Smith, Christine M. Herbst, Fred B. (Ann)Carpinello, Darlene( Zelda) Hotaling and Robert V. Carpinello Jr. She is the sister of Constance Gilbert. Loving grandmother of Lori Young, Holly Carota, George Smith, Jeffrey Grady, Frederick Carpinello, Jenna Carpinello, Curtis and Ona Hotaling and Dennis Cunningham She is the great grandmother of Erin Grady, Jeffrey and Ari Young, Sydney Carota, Donovan and Dominic Cunningham.
Funeral services will be on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Saturday from 2 to 4 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany NY 12205 in memory of Alice A. Kane.
