ALBANY – Alice A. Vincent, 90, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albany.
Alice was born on July 31, 1922 in Plattsburgh, NY and was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Margaret E. (Herrick) Vincent. She worked for the NYS Department of Transportation as a secretary until her retirement. She was a member of the NYS Civil Service Employees Association Chapter 999 and AARP Chapter 980. She was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling.
Alice is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Clarence, Roswell, Ralph and Robert Vincent; her sisters, Doris, Evelyn and Edith Vincent, Thelma Del Belso and Helen Polinsky and two nieces.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff on the second floor of SPNRC for the kindness and care that Alice received.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.
A graveside committal service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Mooers, NY.
