Alice Hingle

Alice Hingle, 99, wife of the late Rodney W. Hingle of Greenville NY, passed away on Friday August 9, 2024 with her family by her side. 

Born on April 14, 1925, in Sultanabad, Persia, she was the daughter of the late Vagarshak and Mannig Mary (Gulusdanian) Varjabedian.

Alice was truly a one-of-a-kind woman. She always made you feel welcomed in her home and made sure you had plenty to eat. She was a great loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved and cared for her three children Nora, Linda and Kevin. She raised her grandson Keith with all her love. She took care of her husband Rodney when he was old and sick and couldn’t care for himself any longer. She always put other people first. She always showed love and compassion towards others needs. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Greenville, NY, and she loved working every Wednesday at the thrift shop till she was no longer able. Mom was the greatest, God blessed her with a long great life.

Alice is survived by her children Nora, Linda (John) and Kevin (Kristina); grandson Keith (Devyn); several nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law Betty Hingle. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her good friends Walter and Lisa Grunwald.

Friends and family are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet NY, 12189. A Funeral Service, which will be officiated by Reverend Thomas Carney, will take place on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 9:00am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY 12189. Burial to follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
