March 27, 1925 — August 12, 2012
LATHAM – Alice Loretta Shields, 87, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 after a long illness and with family by her side. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Loretta Devine.
Alice was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Latham. She was a loving mother who devoted her life to God and her family.
Along with her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband, Robert F. Shields.
She is survived by her children, Robert Shields, Allyson Shea, Mark Shields, Paul Shields, and Claire Mensler, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
