Alice M. Almasy

GREEN ISLAND – Alice M. Almasy, 88, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Alice was born on June 18, 1917 in Cobleskill and was the daughter of the late Charles and Mae Crewell Cooper. She worked as a cleaner for Boardman's Limited in Albany for over 30 years. Then she worked for Lewis Equipment for several years before retiring. She enjoyed reading books and writing letters.
Alice is survived by her sons, Bill Almasy and Thomas "Manny" (Sandy) Almasy; her brothers, Lewis and Karlton Cooper; her sisters, Virginia Vakoutis, Bonnie French and Gloria Cooper; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Almasy and her daughter, Victoria Gardy.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Samaritan Hospice for their care given to Alice.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m at New Comer- Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
