Alice M. Charon

COLONIE – Alice M. Charon, 80, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Friday June 26, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Jacob and May Herrmann. Alice was employed with Regalo Gifts in Albany for several years. Known as Mommy to everyone, she was avid crafter and loved to share those skills with others. She especially enjoyed vacationing with her family. Alice was predeceased by her husband Robert Charon and six siblings.
She is the beloved mother of Dianne (Roger) Smith, Denise Charon, Doreen (Gary) Coons, and Daniel (Lynne) Charon. She is the cherished G Ma to Yvette, Michelle, Christopher, Roger Jr., Kerry, Erin, Kendall and DJ. Alice is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Alice's family would like to express warm appreciation to the hospice staff at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 6 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Memorial services will be offered at Tuesday at 6:00pm at the funeral home.
