COLONIE- Alice M. Krug, 99, of Colonie, passed away on Wednesday August 20, 2008 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Summit, NY and was the daughter of the late William and Alice Hogan.
Alice and her husband John had operated the family vegetable stand in Everett Rd. in Colonie for many years. They were married for 75 years before John's passing in October of 2006. Alice was also predeceased by her brother William Hogan and her great grandson, Jonathan Carey
She is the beloved mother of Jean Getzen (late Jack), William Krug (late Beverly), Joyce (Donald) Hunter, Kathryn (Laurence) Otty, Lawrence (Mary) Krug and Laurel (Michael) Russell. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff on B unit at the Albany County Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care of Alice.
Calling hours will be Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11:00 at St. Francis deSales Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
