Alice R. Salisbury

ALBANY -Alice R. Salisbury, 89, of West Albany passed away peacefully comforted by her loving family on March 15, 2014 after a brief illness at Albany Memorial Hospital. She was born in Albany and spent her life there caring for her loving family while also working for NY Telephone Co. and SUNY Albany. She enjoyed her later years attending and doing activities with the St. Francis De Sales senior group, going to garage sales, spending time with family and her best friend, Sophie Swiatek.

Alice was predeceased by her beloved husband William J. Salisbury, son William R. Salisbury, grandson Frank Smith and best friend Sophie Swiatek.

Alice is survived by her loving sons and daughter in laws Frank(Mary) Salisbury, Jim(Patti) Salisbury, Judith Salisbury; and her brother Joseph(Shirley) Ouderkirk. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jason(Lisa)Salisbury, Traci Salisbury, Jeff Salisbury, Bill Salisbury, Christine(Joe) Serth, Michael Keet, Shawn Keet, Eric Smith and her great grandchildren Emily Serth, Alyssa & Joelle Salisbury and Maxwell Salisbury. Her nephew and niece Art & Kathy Miller were very special to her for their loving and caring ways. Also survived by other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Thursday morning from 9 am to 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Donations to The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144 in memory of Alice R. Salisbury.
