ALBANY, NY – Alice F. Walsh, 97, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2007. Born in Rensselaer, NY, she was the daughter of the late Staats and Sarah Fasoldt. She graduated from Rensselaer High School as valedictorian and received her master's degree from Albany State Teacher's College. Mrs. Walsh lived in Albany before moving to Colonie 61 years ago. She was a teacher for Albany City Schools until her retirement in 1972. Alice was the beloved wife of the late Monroe D. Walsh. She is the devoted mother of Sally (Jack) Pallone of Colonie and the late Richard Walsh. She is the cherished grandmother of Anthony Pallone, Joseph (Lisa) Pallone and Diane (Adam) Pallone- Smith. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her sisters, Alida Morgan and Marian Teliska and her brothers, Ernest, William, Staats and Robert Fasoldt.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clare's Church, Colonie. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
