Alicia Marie Alesandrini, 49, of Albany, passed away on January 12th, 2022 at St. Peter's Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Albany on May 5th, 1972 to Frederick Thomas and Virginia Lynch.
Alicia graduated from Colonie High School in 1990 and attended Bryant and Stratton Business School immediately thereafter. In 1996, she married John Alesandrini and they had two beautiful daughters, Samantha Alesandrini (born 2000) and Isabella Alesandrini (born 2002), who were the love of Alicia's life. Alicia worked for CSEA EBF as a Senior Customer Service Representative. She loved her job and made many lifelong friends there, which she referred to as her "work family."
Alicia never met a stranger, and to say she was beautiful — not only on the outside, but also on the inside — would be an understatement. Her mark on this world will always be felt by those who knew her, as she was truly "One in a Million". Alicia would never want anyone to dwell and be sad over her passing. Instead, she would want us to cherish life and make our own mark on the world.
Her passion for life and her girls was seen in everything she did. She had a heart of gold and a smile that could easily make anyone's day. She radiated positive energy that could be felt by everyone around her. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and loved helping others. In her free time, she enjoyed reading books, listening to music, and, of course, the beach.
Alicia was predeceased by her father, Fredrick Thomas, and in July of 2021, her husband, John Alesandrini.
In addition to her two daughters, Samantha and Isabella, she is survived by her mother Virginia Lynch (Jack Lynch), sisters, Charlene DeVito (Jeff DeVito) and Lynn Thomas (Jeff Moore) nephew, Coby DeVito, niece, Gracie DeVito as well as numerous other family members and friends that she cherished.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 12th, 2022, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm for both John & Alicia at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 343 New Karner Road in Colonie, New York.
