Alma L. Gentile

GHENT – Alma L. Gentile, 95, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012. She was born in Dongela, KY and resided in Saratoga for over twenty years at the Stonequist Apartments. Alma was a waitress for many years on Staten Island and was very active in the Foster Grandparent Program at the YMCA in Saratoga. She was the beloved wife of the late Dominick Gentile. Alma is the devoted mother of Barbara A. (Robert) Benninghoff, Mary E. (Eric Gustavson) Gentile and Christopher D. Gentile. She is the cherished grandmother of Carolyn (Mark) Duvelius, Scott Benninghoff, Christopher (Amy) Gentile and David Gentile. She is the loving great-grandmother of Matthew and Tyler Duvelius. Also surviving is her daughter-in-law, Lori Mauro and Alma's dear friend, Candy Calalang.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). At the request of the family, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern NY, 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Alma L. Gentile.
