Alma R. Cole, 56, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at St. Peters Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Alma was the daughter of the late James Whitten, Sr. and Alma Appleby.
She is the devoted wife of over 32 years to Donald R. "Bob" Cole, Jr.
Alma worked as a dedicated customer services representative for Wellpoint Insurance Co. for over 35 years.
She loved to crochet, read, scrap book and was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Bob, Alma is survived by her son David Cole and her daughter Vicki Cole. She is the sister of James (Donna) Whitten, Jr., Barbara Whitten, Robert "Bubba" (Penny) Price and Joseph Appleby. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many dear friends.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A Memorial Service will Follow the calling hours at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society 3 Oakland Ave. Menands, NY 12204 in Alma's memory.
