Latham- Althea J. Fuess , 81, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Althea was the daughter of the late Paul and Doris Jones and was the devoted wife to the late Douglas A. Fuess.
Althea's greatest love was her family and her friendships. She lived her life with a big heart filled with love, kindness, generosity and support to everyone. She was an outstanding wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She cherished family events; loved to read and was the "world's best gravy maker"!!
Althea is survived by her children: Rebecca McGuire, Cynthia O'Rourke (John), and Doug Fuess, Jr. (Lynda); sister: Nancy Osberg; sister in law: Sally Knapp (Ken); grandchildren: Alexandra McGuire, Jeremy McGuire, Jay O'Rourke, Amy O'Rourke, Ben Fuess, Abby Fuess, and Kate Fuess.
A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, 2 Mercycare Lane, Guilderland, New York,12084, on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 3:30 pm.
Reception to follow at OLM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Althea's name to the Alzheimers Association Northeastern New York Chapter at:
