ALBANY-Alvena V. Cornell, 87, of Delmar, NY, passed away this last weekend at St. Peters Hospice Inn.
Alvena was born in Corning, NY, and was the beloved wife of Robert H. Cornell for 69 years. She was the cherished mother of Rodney (Lila) Cornell, Jeanne (Ron) Barriere, Stephen (Paula) Cornell, and Michael (Sandy) Cornell
Alvena will be missed by her grandchildren; Raymond Brunk, Karen Danz, Elizabeth Lewis, Rodney Cornell, Wendi Pienizik, her Great Grandchildren; Erika, Rebecca & Sarah Danz, Caroline & Colin Lewis, Zachery & Emily Pienizik, and her siblings; Beverly (Ed) Friebis, Anita (Bill) Sutton, Delores (Paul) King, Larry (Judy) Cook. She is predeceased by her brothers Clyde and Darrell Cook, and sister Edith Rose.
Family and home were "Granny's" pride and life.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Peter's Hospice.
