Alvin A. Badger

Alvin A. Badger, 86, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2014 at Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters, with his family by his side.

Alvin was born August 22, 1928, at Londonderry, Vermont, to the late Raymond and Beatrice (Badger) Costanzo.

Alvin proudly served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War as a B29 mechanic. He was retired from New York State Department of Taxation & Finance, where he worked for over 22 years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather and sister Kathleen.

Alvin is survived by his significant other of 36 years Arleen Beers; son Gregory Badger; sister Trixie Silvia (Joseph); brother Tom Costanzo (Patti Bartscherer) and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Albany Baptist Church, 361 Krumkill Road, Slingerlands, NY 12159.

Funeral Service will be on Wednesday. August 27, 2014 at 11:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
