Amber Joy Perry

Amber Joy “AJ” Perry, 36, of Troy NY, passed away on Aug 20 2024.

Amber was born on Aug 19, 1988 to Mary L Hale Woodard and P.Wayne Woodard Jr in Albany NY. Amber graduated from Hoosic Valley High School in 2006. She got married to John Perry in 2015. She loved all sorts of animals as she had many pets in her time.

She recently had stopped working for Stewarts Shops in Troy, Cumberland Farms in Troy, St Mary's Hospital in Troy and St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. She had worked for the past year for NYS DMV as a Motor Vehicle Rep for their Customer Call center.

Amber was predeceased by her grandparents Percy “Sonny” Wayne Woodard Sr. and Cheryl Ann Woodard Grizzard, Patrick “Jim” James Hale Sr. and Mary L Hale, and her Uncle Brendon Hale. She is survived by Her Husband John Perry, Parents Mary Hale and  P. Wayne Woodard, Jr, Sister Ashley Woodard (Blaney Collins), Brother Mike Woodard (Crystal Howell), Nephews Blaney Collins Jr, Kayden Woodard, Lakelon Collins and Wyatt Woodard, Nieces Allison Bradford and Barbra Collins, Grandmother Joy D Shumway-Woodard, along with a Variety of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins on both the Hale and Woodard sides.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY on Thursday September 5, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. 

A Memorial Mass will be held for Amber Perry and her Uncle Brendan Hale on Friday September 6, 2024 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Rd Latham, NY 12210, they will both then be laid to rest with their family at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, NY. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to, Mohawk Hudson Humane Society an organization Amber felt strongly about.
