ALBANY – Amelia M. Rovelli, 92, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2006. Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Alex and Julia Zagursky. Mrs. Rovelli was a resident of Albany for all of her life. She worked as a supervisor in food service for Albany Medical Center Hospital for 34 years, before retiring. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerome Rovelli. Amelia is the beloved mother of Jerry Rovelli of Albany, Virginia Rovelli of Scotia, Dolores (James) Lotano of Amsterdam and Mildred Cerefice of New Jersey. Also surviving are five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 in memory of Amelia M. Rovelli.
