In addition, she was a consultant for several federal agencies. She was a fierce believer in education as a way to grow as an individual and a professional, and also believed in people and their potential; a consummate educator with love in her heart for all she met.
Aminta's maternal grandparents were extremely influential in her early life, nurturing her love of nature, classical music, literature, and language. She was an elegant woman of great courage, intelligence and dignity who shared her gusto for life with everyone.
At her request, there will no public memorial services. The family requests that instead of flowers, donations be made to the Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144.
