Amy L. Travis

Clifton Park - Amy L. Travis, 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Amy was the daughter of the late John Bertram and Gladys Saunders. Amy was also the loving daughter of Joseph Kapenos, Sr. Amy was the devoted wife to the late Gary L. Travis. They were married 45 loving years.

Amy was a very dedicated worker, enjoyed gardening and all outdoors activities. Amy loved spending time at Schroon Lake and cherished her time spent with her grandchildren. Amy held a special affinity for the family farm on Werner Road.

Amy is survived by her daughter, Mamie L. (Benjamin) Whitney; her grandchildren, Alexis, Kita, Lakota, and Trent Whitney; siblings, Joseph Kapenos Jr.(John Akey), Glenn N. Saunders, Richard A. Lanne, Joanne M. Mulvaney and Jo-Ann Ellison; several nieces and nephews and many loving relatives and friends.

Amy is predeceased by her brothers, Lee E. Daigneault, David J. Lanne and her sister, Carol A. Jones.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 10:00 to 12:00. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00. Interment to immediately follow the service at Hudson View Cemetery, Mechanicville. Masks are required at the funeral home inside and outside of the chapel. Social distancing will also be followed.
