Selkirk- Andrew H. Ruth passed away on February 3, 2016 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush. He was 87 years old.
The son of the late Harold Ruth and Beatrice (Wescott) Williams, Andrew was born on September 12, 1928 in Albany, NY. He was retired from SUNY where he worked for many years as a purchasing agent.
Andrew enjoyed bowling and was considered to be one of the best competitive dart players in Albany for years. Andrew was known for reading the newspaper every day from front to back. He had a gift for gab, would always tell you he lived a "good life" and in the words of Sinatra he "did it his way."
Andrew is survived by his daughter Denise Labunski of Selkirk; his grandchildren: Jason (Renee) and Eric Labunski and Paige Degennaro; his great-granddaughters: Kennedy and Talia Labunski; his great-grandson Christopher.
In addition to his parents, Andrew was predeceased by his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Ruth.
In keeping with Andrew's wishes there will be no services.
