Andrew J."A.J." Kelly, Sr.

COLONIE - Andrew J. "A.J." Kelly, Sr., 50, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital after a long illness.
A.J. was born on March 31, 1957 in No. Palm Beach, Fla. and was the beloved son of Edmund F. Kelly, Sr. and the late Marion E. Kelly. A.J. had worked as a black topper all of his life. He enjoyed fishing with his nephew, Karl and spending time with his family.
In addition to his father surviving, A. J. is the husband of Bertha "Dee Dee" Hicks Kelly; loving father of Christine Marie Kelly, Jamie Ann Kelly and Andrew J. Kelly, Jr.; cherished grandfather of Shalonda Faircloth, Stephon Gregory, Matthew Kopczynski, Andrew J. Kelly, III and Justin Willsey; brother of Carol (Peter) Kelly Russo, Edmund (Donna) F. Kelly, Jr., Mitchell (Ruth) S. Kelly and Kim (William) Kelly Wagoner. A.J. is also survived by several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). A calling hour will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home on Tuesday. Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.
