ALBANY – Andrew J. Kosier, 75, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, November 8, 2021 at St. Peter's Hospital.
He was born in Albany on July 4, 1946 a son of the late Alexander and Stella (Sokol) Kosier. He graduated from Cardinal McKlosky High School in Albany and attended Hudson Valley College, earning a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. Following graduation from Hudson Valley, Andrew enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, serving overseas.
After serving in the military, he went to work for Tri-State Repair, Inc. in Troy, where he worked for over 45 years before retiring.
Andrew was a fan of the Yankees and the Giants, but his passion was his model train collection that he acquired over the years.
He is survived by his brother, John E. (June) Kosier; his niece, Andrea; his grand niece, Kathryn and several cousins.
An hour of visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a celebration of Andrew's life to immediately follow at 11:00 am on Friday, November 12 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
