Andrew J. Lopez

Guilderland- Lopez, Andrew J. 88, of Guilderland entered into eternal life on June 23, 2022 with his wife of 63 years Joan at his side. He
was born in Albany on June 21, 1934 the son of the late Margaret and Andrew Lopez.

One of the highlights of his young life was participating in the Soap Box Derby in 1947. In 1953 he graduated from Philip Schuyler High School where he was very involved in the music program playing the trumpet and singing in the choir. He attended Fredonia for one year and Ithaca College for two years.
Andrew and Joan have two sons Andy and Michael. Andy and his wife Lesley have two children Andrea and David. Andrew worked many years as a salesman and department manager at Sears, Roebuck when they opened their store in Colonie Center. He also worked for Cohoes MFG and Jos A. Bank.

Andrew was very involved with activities at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception He loved doing tours of the church and bringing them down
to the crypt to see where the Bishops are buried. He also enjoyed woodworking and made many pieces of furniture for the house.
