Andrew Rubino

Colonie- Andrew Rubino, 72, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, April 19, 2007. Born in Brooklyn he was the son of the late Gasper and Genevieve Rubino. Andrew was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country from to . Andy devoted most of his life to taking care of his family and especially his handicapped son Andrew. An avid sports fan, Andy was a die hard Yankee fan.
Andy is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Virginia H. Rubino of Colonie, his three cherished children; Lisa, Ginny and Andrew, six cherished grandchildren; Audrey, Megan, Cpl. Robert Domenici U.S. Army, Mary, Mikey and Nick. He is also survived by his brothers Joe Rubino, Erasmo Rubino and his sister Josephine Mastrocinque.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 8:45 AM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.), then to St. Pius X Church, Loudonville where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 Pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumite Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211, in memory of Andrew Rubino.
