ALBANY- Aniela Lansing, 102, of Albany, entered Eternal Life on August 14, 2008, at the Teresian House after a brief illness. Aniela was born in Adams, MA on August 2, 1906, but lived most of her life in Latham. She was a hairdresser for many years and after retirement traveled to Lourdes, Hawaii, and many other places. She was a gifted artist and enjoyed golfing with family and friends. Aniela's special joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Katherine and Thomas Wajda, her sisters, Mary and Estelle, and brother Jim; and a son, Walter Lansing.
Aniela was the beloved wifeof the late Walter Lansing. She was the devoted mother to Ronald (Marge) Lansing of Latham and Sandra (Chuck) Dunphy of Colonie. She was the loving grandmother of five grandchildren, Kevin (Sonja) Lansing, Half Moon Bay, CA; Michael (Elizabeth) Lansing, Castleton, NY; Jacqueline (Jeffrey) Cannell, Marcy, NY; Theresa (Terry) Langlois, Loudonville, NY; and Colleen (Foti) Zorbas, Clifton Park, NY; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Michael F., Jr., Rachel, and Ryan Lansing; Joshua and Julia Crannell; Krister, Scout, and Karsten Lansing; Callista, Demetra, and John Zorbas, and Charles and Charisen Langlois. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and brother-in-law, Joseph Kurpiel. . Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday morning at 8:45 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave), and 9:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumite Rd., Loudonville where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m.. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers, donations to Covenant House, Times Square Station, P.O.
