ROTTERDAM- Angela (Angie) Mogavero, age 73, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 26, 2024.
She was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Marion Cassaro Mogavero and Gerald Mogavero.
Angie leaves behind a son, Michael Mogavero; sister, Carla Mogavero Novak, brother-in-law, Paul Novak and many cousins.
Angie graduated from Linton High School, St. Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and Fulton County Community College with an Associate Degree in Graphic Design. She worked for many years as a flight attendant for United Airlines, which offered her the opportunity to travel to various worldwide destinations. After retiring, she operated her own web design business from home. She later worked as a security guard at One Broadway Center in Schenectady.
Angie had a passion for art and painting, creating many beautiful landscapes. She enjoyed traveling and learning about different cultures, first for work and later with her son Michael. Her travels often inspired her artwork. She loved cooking, trying new recipes and experimenting with a variety of cuisines. Later in life, she rekindled her interest in knitting, crocheting and puzzle games.
Angie had a very outgoing personality, with the ability to make lasting friendships wherever she went. Her biggest joy was spending time with her son, Michael. He was the center of her world.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
