ALBANY, NY – Angeline Salvagio, 91, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2008. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Benedict (DeBenedetto). Mrs. Salvagio was a homemaker for all of her life. She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings and especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent (Jim) Salvagio. She is the devoted mother of Theresa (Bob) Jefferson of Albany, Marge (Jack) Daniels of Clifton Park, Vince (Lou) Salvagio of Halfmoon and Frank (Lois) Salvagio of Clifton Park. Angeline is the sister of Rose Oliver of Albany and the late Joe Benedict, Julia DiPiazza and Steve Benedict. She is the cherished grandmother of Angela Mariani, John Daniels, Kristine Daniels, Tara Salvagio and Vinnie Salvagio. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren; Bobby, Alex, Patrick and Joseph and several nieces and nephews. Angeline's family would like to thank the staff of One West at St. Peter's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and the staff of Community Hospice for all of their care and support during her illness.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) the to Blessed Sacrament Church at 9:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated St. Peter's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 301 Hackett Blvd., Albany, NY 12208 or Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Angeline Salvagio.
