Angeline Scherer

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Angeline (Sutton) Scherer, passed away on Saturday, January 09, 2010 at the Eddy Village Green Nursing Home. She was born on July 3, 1913 and was the daughter of the late Nelson and Jessie M. (Lawrence) Sutton. Angeline was a 1932 graduate of Albany High School. She married her late husband, Francis J. Scherer on April 12, 1938. Angeline worked for the New York State Dept. of Motor Vehicles from where she retired. She was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Senior Citizens. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Florence Panthen and Bessie Bolton; her son, Robert L. Scherer and her granddaughter Elizabeth Scherer. Angeline is the mother of Paul F. Scherer of Chandler, AZ. She is the cherished mother-in-law of Stefani L. Scherer of Loudonville. She is the loving grandmother of Cynthia (Daryl) Demattia Chandler of Chandler, AZ, Kathleen Scherer and Roger Scherer, both of Chandler, AZ and Robert S. Scherer and Lisa M. Jubert, both of Loudonville. Angeline is the great-grandmother of Jennifer M. Jubert of Loudonville and Tia L. Scherer of Latham. Also surviving is her dear family friend, William Bardon of Marshfield, MA. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Eddy Village Green House #6 for the wonderful loving care, kindness and compassion they gave to Angeline. She loved every one of you.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 11:00 to 12:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
