LOUDONVILLE – Angelo A. Attila, 76, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Reggio, Calabria, Italy, he was the son of the late Austero and Stella Marie Attila. Angelo served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Albany during the Korean War. He retired after working 40 years as a licensed plumber. Angelo lived enjoying fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time at his summer home in the Adirondacks. But, most of all, he loved spending time with his beloved family and faithful canine companions, Abigail and Cocco. Angelo's talents were unlimited and the works he left behind are only a small part of his legacy. Angelo is the beloved husband of 50 years to Carolyn A. (Campman) Attila. He is the devoted father of Elizabeth Terrell-O'Connor of Albany, Susan (Drew) Giungo of Colonie, Karen (Louis) Padula of Guilderland and Carolyn (Gary) Machina of Rexford. He is the cherished grandfather of Amanda Terrell, April and Alexander Angelo Remy, Danielle, Samantha and Dominic Padula and Brian and Sarah Machina. Angelo is the brother-in-law of Frank Multari and uncle of Frank Jr., Lily, Joel and Jeffrey. Also surviving are three great-nieces and one great-nephew. In addition to his parents, Angelo was predeceased by his sister, Angelina Multari. Angelo's family would like to thank his caregivers, Dr.'s Rimash, Martinelli and Cagino. We are particularly grateful for our close family friend, Ellen Fitzgerald who provided her skilled nursing abilities to Angelo whenever he needed them.
