COLONIE – Angelo J. Cudemo, 84, died on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the Ellis Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness.
Angelo was born on March 29, 1920 in Colonie to the late Anthony and Mary Montesano Cudemo. He served in the US Army during WWII attaining the rank of Private.
Angelo was a construction worker with the Local 190 in Albany for many years before retiring in 1982.
Angelo was an avid golfer, an avid NY Yankees fan, enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting and frequent casinos. He also was a former member of the Elks.
Angelo is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy M. (Dennis Mons) Cudemo of Colonie; son, James H. Mons and his wife Priscilla of Colonie; son, Michael A. Cudemo and his wife, Dora of Albany; grandson, James H. Mons Jr. of Germany; sisters, Betty Chriscone of Albany and Mary Belcastro of Troy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Richard A. Cudemo; a brother, Anthony Cudemo, and sisters, Rose Coffee and Carmela Quaglieri.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Entombment Memory's Garden, Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7p.m. at the funeral home.
