COLONIE – Angelo M. Gaudio, 54, of Colonie passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday December 23, 2020 at Albany Medical Center.
He was born in Albany a son of Peter Gaudio, Sr. and the late Luigia (Gaetano) Gaudio. He attended local schools and graduated from Colonie High School Class of 1984.
Angelo did auto body repair and worked for several auto body shops in the area. He transitioned to the insurance adjusting business. He owned and operated Heavy Equipment Appraisal in Colonie until his death.
He was a loving son, provider, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He took care of everyone. Angelo loved to cook, eat and drink. His greatest joy was sharing good times with family and friends. He enjoyed playing Poker and was the life of every party. He prided himself on making his own sausage, wine and Limoncello. Angelo was a member of the Italian Benevolent Society and played on the Bocce team with his father. His will be deeply missed by all who new him and loved him.
Besides his father, Angelo is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Wendy (Short) Gaudio, his loving daughter, Ciara; his brother, Peter (Robin) Gaudio, Jr.; 2 sisters, Belinda (Bobby) Shumway and JoAnn Gaudio; 2 nephews, Michael Wiley who was like a son to him, Peter Gaudio; and 3 nieces, Karissa Schupp, Danielle Gaudio and Lindsay Sandgren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, NY. Gathering size, within the church will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of the church. No flowers please. In lieu of flowers, a college fund has been established for Ciara thru CapCom Federal Credit Union - Ciara's College Fund.
