He was born in Schenectady on December 17, 1927 the only son of the late Angelo Sr. & Grace (Loudis) Goffredo.
In 1956, Angelo married the love of his life Rose (Pezzula) Goffredo. They met in a musical theater group and the rest was history. He graduated from Nott Terrace High School in 1946. Following high school, Angelo joined the Navy and served as an Electronic Technician aboard the USS Missouri from 1946-1950. He was reunited with his shipmates in 1976 when he joined the USS Missouri Association. He served in many official roles, including President. Due to his many years as an electrician, he was always willing to lend his expertise and assistance to anyone that would need it.
Angelo was a very avid bowler, starting at age 14 in the many different leagues in Schenectady. He continued that passion into his senior years, where he carried a 180 average in the Sportsmen Senior Bowling league. Angelo loved life. He was a fan of the Yankees and Mets and the PGA. He loved to dance, a good dish of pasta and was always the life of the party.
Angelo was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Rose (Pezzula) Goffredo, whom he lost in 1997; his sisters, Mary Finarelli, Grace Martinelli, Rose Cafararo, Georgianna Lasher, Angela Verteramo and Jean DiBlasio.
