Anita M. Frost

COLONIE - Anita M. Frost "Nita", age 84, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, surrounded by family on Monday, May 7, 2012.
A lifelong resident of Colonie, Anita enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed. She had an infectious smile, great sense of humor and embraced everyone.


Anita was a long standing member of the West Albany Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing games with her family, trips to Lake Placid, bingo with her friends, and dining out.
She was predeceased by her parents Manuel D. and Anna Doring Vasquez and her husband, Richard W. Frost Sr.


Anita is survived by her children: Robert (Audrey), Richard Jr., Deborah (Tom) Callen, Stephen (Cheryl), Joanna (Andrew) Gehr; brothers, Manuel (Gail) and Frank Vasquez; grandchildren, Robert Jr., William, Thomas, Cortney, Kristina, Russell, Stephen M., Aaron, Brian, Rachel and Seth; great-grandchildren, William Jr., Nicholas, Thomas and Parker.


Funeral services will be Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Albany Medical Center Children's Hospital, 43 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Anita M. Frost.
