COLONIE – Anita T. Holman, 64, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 19, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital after a courageous battle with leukemia.
She was born in Mexico, Maine and was the daughter of the late Melvin and Yvette Richards. Anita earned her nursing degree at Maria College and worked as a devoted LPN caregiver. More recently, Anita was a sales representative in the insurance and automobile industries. She was a positive and caring person that always made others happy to be in her presence. Anita was predeceased by her son, Lloyd A. Holman Jr.
She is survived by her loving companion, David J. Renadette; her children Danielle L. (Thomas) Salmeri and Lawrence A. Holman; her cherished grandchildren, Anthony and Michaela Salmeri and Lawrence Holman Jr.
Funeral services will be Friday evening at 7:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rumford, Maine. Memorial contributions are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 5 Computer Drive West, Suite 100, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Anita T. Holman.
