Ann Marie Bowen

Guilderland- Ann Marie Bowen, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2022 with her loving husband and daughter by her side. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Ingeborg Magnussen. Ann was the devoted wife to Rev. James L. Bowen. They were married 62 years.

After graduating from High School, Ann received her B.S. from Oneonta State. She also received a Masters degree in Education from the University of Albany. Ann devoted her life to teaching and was the first teacher at the Wildwood School. She taught special education in Guilderland School District, Norwich, Philadelphia, Colchester, Vermont, and Cobleskill Elementary.

Ann was a truly amazing person who touched the hearts of all those around her.

In addition to her husband, Ann is survived by her daughter, Lori Randle (Bowen); son, Christopher (Vera) Bowen; grandchildren, Christopher, Jr., Nathan, Daniel, Tristan, and Ashton; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Ann is predeceased by her son, James, Jr.; her sisters, Solveig and Ingrid; and her twin brother, Harold.

We will celebrate Ann's life on Saturday, February 12th, 2022 at 11am at McKownville United Methodist Church, 1565 Western Avenue, Albany, New York 12203.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ann's name to the McKownville United Methodist Church, 1565, Western Avenue, Albany, New York 12203.
