Ann Dunmore, 79, passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center on March 31, 2023 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Ann was born September 19th, 1943 to Cyril and Sarah Blanchard in Resolven, Wales.
She married her husband, Alan, in 1964 and they soon began a family together. The family moved to America in 1979, settling in Delmar, New York. In 1995 Ann and Alan moved to Michigan where she enjoyed helping care for her granddaughters before settling into their retirement home in Dundee, NY in 2006.
Ann's most cherished job was raising her 4 children and her interests ranged from painting to crafting to gardening and all things in between. She held many positions over the years from tech companies to the local newspaper, The Spotlight. She also volunteered at the elementary school and Five Rivers Nature Center in support of her children and personal interests. Ann's loving nature and caring demeanor filled the Delmar home with love. We fondly remember the Boxing Day parties and family dinners that were the center of our family traditions.
Ann is survived and will be forever missed by her husband of 59 years, Alan Dunmore, her 4 children Mathew Dunmore (Heather), Simon Toby Dunmore (Michelle), Lucy Gould (Greg), Sara Huther (Rand) 9 grandchildren, Craig Huther (Kirsten), Ryan Huther (Gina), Olivia Dunmore, Gregory Gould, Carys Dunmore, Lucas Gould, Simon Dunmore, Collyn Dunmore, Hannah Dunmore, great-grand daughter Isabella Huther. Ann is further survived by her brother Thomas Blanchard (Anne) and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the loving staff of Our Lady of Mercy Life Center for the love and care they gave to Ann over the past five years.
A celebration of life for Ann will be planned at her home on Seneca Lake in the summer.
