Ann E. Weir

COLONIE – Ann E. Weir, 84, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, with her loving family by her side at St. Peter's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Troy, NY she was the daughter of the late Guy and Angela Frasier. Ann had lived in Colonie for sixty years. She worked for New York State Office of General Services, retiring after twenty years of service in 1994. Ann enjoyed spending time with her cherished family and grandchildren and loved vacationing at the ocean. She liked flower gardening and collecting light houses.


Ann is the beloved wife of nearly sixty years to Chick E. Weir Sr. She is the devoted mother of Tari (Bob) Cox of Colonie, Chick (Karen) Weir Jr. of Loudonville, Lori (Bill) Kerr of Altamont and Gary (DeShan) Weir of Colonie. Ann is the loving sister of Ronnie Pettograsso and the cherished grandmother of Cori and Brittany Cox, Chickie and Alex Weir, Justin and Lucas Kerr and Isaiah Weir. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Our mother was a caring, compassionate and kind woman who lived her life for her family. She was strong willed, a trait which she carried throughout her illness. Ann's family would like to thank the entire staff at St. Peter's Nursing & Rehab Center for the loving compassion they extended to Ann during her stay.


Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 301 Hackett Blvd, Albany, NY 12208 or Choices Program at St. Peter's Hospital, 315 South Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Ann E. Weir.
