Ann Graham

LOUDONVILLE – Ann M. Graham, of Loudonville, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2006 with her family by her side, after a long struggle with lung disease. She was born on February 14, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Westervelt. Ann was a 1951 graduate of Mepham High School in Bellmore, NY. She worked as a telecommunications analyst for the NYS Office of General Services, retiring in 1998. Mrs. Graham was a communicant of St. Pius X Church. Ann is the devoted and loving wife of 51 years to Walter R. Graham. She is the beloved mother of Richard W. Graham and his wife, Debbie of Malta, Charles Graham and his life partner, Christine Abraham of Colonie, Elizabeth Graham Weiss and her husband, Bernard of Colonie, Robert F. Graham of Loudonville and Laura Malatesta of Schenectady. She is the sister of Donald Westervelt and his wife, Emily of New York City and the late Helen Manning, Charles Westervelt and John Westervelt. Ann is the cherished grandmother of Richard Graham of Malta, David Malatesta of Schenectady, Marie Graham of Malta, Christopher Malatesta of Schenectady, Bernard L. Weis, III and his wife, Sharon of Colonie, Joseph Weis of Mechanicville and Andrew Weis of Colonie. She is the loving great-grandmother of Lucas, Devan and Kalie Weis. She is the sister-in-law of Barbara Westervelt, and Carol Westervelt. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and her dearest friends, Vera Croitoru, Noreen Mahoney, Alice Abrams, Mary Ellen Cavanagh and all of her friends at St. Peter's Better Breathers Club.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 9:15 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Pius X Church, Loudonville at 10:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
