ALBANY- Ann I. McCarthy, 99, of Albany, passed away on Sunday January 4, 2009 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late John and Agnes McDonald Lewis. Ann was predeceased by her husband Michael J. McCarthy.
She is the beloved mother of AnnaMarie George. Ann is the cherished grandmother of Mrs. George (Linda) Lovely Sr., Sandra George, Edward George, Laura George and the late Michael George and Scott George. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling hours. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany NY 12205 in memory of Ann I. McCarthy.
