LOUDONVILLE – Ann L. Rasmussen, 82, of Loudonville, passed away on Monday June 20, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born and educated in Brooklyn and was the daughter of the late Waldemar and Anna Caspersen. Ann was predeceased in 2006 by her beloved husband of 55 years, Raymond M. Rasmussen.
She is the devoted mother of Sharon Rasmussen, Donald (Chrisse) Rasmussen, Barbara Rasmussen and Kristine (Ethan) Hartenberg. Ann is the cherished grandmother of Bryan and Matthew Rasmussen and Ringo and Ella Hartenberg. She is the sister of the late Waldemar (Dorothy) Caspersen and her twin sister, Jean (Paul) Wohlsen. Ann is the sister in law of Helen Bennett. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Ann's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the dedicated and caring nurse's and staff on the 6th floor Pavilion at St. Peters Hospital.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday morning at 11:00 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Loudonville. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions are suggested to ARC of Rensselaer County, 79 102nd Street, Troy, NY 12180-1125 or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 510 Albany-Shaker Rd. Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Ann L. Rasmussen.
