Colonie- Ann M. Gabriel, 81, passed away at St. Peter's Hospital, on Thursday, January 04, 2007. Born in Albany she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Marie G. (Smith) Reinhart. Ann had worked as a clerk for Montgomery Wards for 25 years and went to work for Sears, retiring after 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, traveling around the world and trips to the casinos. Ann was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church. She is predeceased by her sister Dorothy E. Comorski, her brother Joseph F. Reinhart, sister-in-laws Shirley Gabriel, Ruth E. Connors and Muriel Gabriel, and brother-in-law Anthony Gabriel.
Ann is the beloved wife of 59 years of Alfred J. Gabriel, Sr. of Colonie, the mother of Theresa (Donald) Quaglieri of Colonie, Lynda (Stephen) Kolach of Loudonville, Gloria (Stan) Nowacki of Colonie, and Alfred Gabriel, Jr. (Patricia) of Colonie. She is the grandmother of Donald (Heather) Quaglieri, Jr., Tracy (Daniel) Poole, Stephanie (Brian) Tevis of Kentucky, Courtney (Kevin) O'Hearn, Sarah Kolach, James Oliver, Justin Kolach, and Dominique, Amanda and Zachary Gabriel. Ann is the great-grandmother of Donald Quaglieri III, Brendan Durkee, Samantha and Andrew Quaglieri, Kylie Poole and Emma Poole, the sister of Alfred A. Reinhart, and the sister-in-law of Guido Gabriel of Troy and Florida, Angeline (Joseph) Matucek of Troy, Joseph (Carol) Gabriel of Cape Cod, MaryAnn (William) Assini of Latham, Frederick (Joan) Gabriel of Cape Cod and James Connors of Watervliet. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling Hours will be held on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Church, 26 Wilson Ave., Albany, NY 12205, in memory of Ann M. Gabriel.
