ALBANY – Ann Marie Valenza, 72, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012, at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Ann Marie was born on July 28, 1939 in Carbondale, PA and was the daughter of the late Michael and Immacolata (Mesiti) Ameduri. In her younger years, Ann Marie enjoyed baking – especially her Italian cookies, bowling and traveling to see her family. In more recent years, she especially loved visiting her five grandchildren.
Ann Marie is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Nicola Valenza; her loving daughters, Michelle (Kevin) O'Connor and Lisa (Gregory) Wolanski all of Syracuse; her cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Justin O'Connor, and Bailey, Jack and Max Wolanski; her sisters-in-law, Rita Valenza of France and Laura (Franko) Faccenda of Italy; and several cousins, a niece and nephews.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at St. Peter's Hospital for the care and comfort given to Ann Marie.
Relatives and friends are invited to All Saints Catholic Church, Albany, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
